INTRODUCING... TEAM B&L

At the beating heart of each of our beloved restaurants is our awesome team. And over the next few weeks, we’re saying a special thanks to the people who make us B&L and we want to introduce you to a few of those very talented people.

Next up is Francesca Cociancich, general manager, at our first-ever Burger & Lobster in Mayfair.

Q: How long have you been at Burger & Lobster?
A: 8 and a half years.

Q: Describe the culture at B&L in 3 words. What makes it work?
A: Passion, uniqueness, quality.

Q: What has made you want to stay at B&L over the years?
A: Lots of different reasons. The support I’ve received from all my managers. The tight, family dynamic of my team. The ability to have a healthy work-life balance. The amazing relationships I have nurtured with guests and colleagues. The pride of serving prime quality food for a well-known and loved international brand. The opportunity to go on an amazing trip to South Africa was also very special!

Q: How would you summarise your time at B&L?
A: I joined Burger & Lobster as a host at our restaurant in Bread Street. From then I never looked back and I did various stints with Goodman, Burger & Lobster Knightsbridge restaurant in Harvey Nichols before stepping up as Assistant Manager in Mayfair, and then Assistant General Manager at Oxford Circus. Amongst all that, I helped with the opening of our Bond Street restaurant before returning to Oxford Circus as General Manager and finally to Mayfair as GM, where I’ve been ever since!

Q: What are you most proud of achieving during your time at B&L?
A: The various skills I have learnt from all the incredible people I have worked with throughout the years which has led me to be in the position I am today.
 
Q: What does your average day look like?
A: There is never an average day at B&L!

Q: What makes you tick outside of work
A: Just living my life!

Q: When it’s not B&L, where is your favourite place to eat?
A: I love discovering new places so I rarely go to the same place over and over again, but one place I particularly loved recently is The Hunters Moon - one of the best Sunday roasts in London!
