One of the Royal Parks and situated right next to Buckingham Palace, Green Park is definitely one to add to the list of ‘touristy things to do’ around central London

Peaceful In Green Park
Before it was turned into the park we know it as today, Green Park was once an area where lepers from the nearby St James's Hospital were buried until the 16th century, and after that it was used as hunting grounds for Henry VIII.
Although Green Park might be the smallest of London's eight Royal Parks, it certainly warrants a visit, and will offer a wonderful afternoon spent in London. Whilst other parks around the capital are buzzing with plenty to do, Green Park is more of a relaxation zone, with mature trees and shrubs and open space. An oasis for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city, we highly recommend Green Park for some quality chill time.
Top tip: This is a great place to visit before or after seeing the Changing of the Guard, or if you’re visiting Buckingham Palace.
Where Is Green Park?
Located between Hyde Park and St James's Park, Green Park is on the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria lines - and you’ll be pleased to know everyone's favourite Green Park restaurants - Burger & Lobster restaurants are nearby too. Burger & Lobster Mayfair is a great choice, just a three-minute walk from the park, or there’s Burger & Lobster Bond Street, Leicester Square or Knightsbridge all a little further away - a 14 or 15-minute stroll from Green Park.
