As the nights are getting longer, temperatures colder and all seems to be on the rocks, Burger & Lobster are on hand to shake things up and raise your spirits with our brand-new winter drinks menu!
Starring old classics and new innovations and launching today across all our London restaurants, our new menu stands to be our most creative concoction yet. Whether your tipple of choice is long and strong, short and tart or even soft and sweet, we’ve got something to wet your whistle:
Look out for Purple Rain – a twist on the timeless Clover Club Cocktail. Prepare for a right royal seasonal special; cinnamon, pear, blueberry and gin topped off with a creamy egg-white head. Served in an elegant coupe, this is one blend fit for even a Prince!
Another highlight would have to be Ruby Ruby Ruby. It’s true, great long Bourbon drinks these days seem to be few and far between, but this is one you’ve just got to try. Reminiscent of a punchy winter Sangria, our very own house-made spiced cranberry syrup takes this drink to new heights! Completed with fresh orange and lemon juices, Ruby Port and Buffalo Trace bourbon, we seem to have hit the nail on the head with this one.
And for those with a sweeter tooth? You can’t miss our Drury Lane Punch! Finished with an actual gingerbread man and featuring Havana Club 3-year Rum, coconut rum, pineapple juice and honey this festive cocktail is already becoming a firm favourite among our talented mixologists and the muffin man alike. No wonder it’s already been tipped for winter greatness.
Alongside catering to all taste buds, the main difference we’ve made to our new drinks menu and carefully curated cocktail list is that both now focus more intensely on seasonality. Not only does this shift give us greater control over the quality of our drinks but it also allows us to use more homemade ingredients and garnishes than ever before. Which I’m sure we can all agree is a straight up plus!
Mirroring the changes in our a la carte menu, just as we have simplified our dessert offering with one signature cheesecake, we have turned our attention to just one timeless classic: The tipple of choice for this winter will be the Old Fashioned. Collaborating with Vermont’s Whistle Pig, specialists in producing some of the world's best barrel-ages rye whiskies and delicious organic maple syrup too, we wanted to find a way to honour all they’re doing for the drinks world and whiskey worlds in particular. Heralded as producers of one of the finest rye whiskies of recent times, what better way than using both their products to mix together a truly knock-out Old Fashioned?
We have also updated our soft-shell mocktail offering: For those passing on the booze you can’t miss our refreshing new iced tea which heroes green tea, lemongrass and ginger for a zingy kick, nor our Berry Cooler which is made from strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, cranberry and apple for that much needed one of your five-a-day boost!
