Restaurant Near Piccadilly Circus London

It’s no surprise that Piccadilly Circus has been named one of the busiest spots in London.

Piccadilly Circus is often a meeting point destination for friends, family and colleagues gathering in the capital.

You’ll recognise it by the giant advertising screen or perhaps it’s the iconic statue of Eros you associate the area with? Either way, this area is truly magical and if you’re looking for restaurants near Piccadilly Circus, we’re proud to say that there’s a Burger & Lobster just around the corner.

Plenty To Do Around Piccadilly Circus

A central spot with easy access to Leicester Square, Shaftesbury Avenue or Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus is packed with things to see and do including snaps at the Eros statue, be in awe of the Piccadilly Lights, take a walk to Trafalgar Square or take in a show; afterall, you are right in the heart of Theatre Land here.

But how did this area get its unusual name? We hear you ask. Well, the name dates back to 1612 as ‘Piccadilly’ refers to a tailor named Roger Baker who lived in the area and sold many piccadils or as you might recognise them, white elaborate Shakespeare type collars. In terms of the circus part - this area was once shaped in a ring. 'Circus' is a Latin word for ring or circle and although the space is more of a square now, its original name remains.
