The Lobster Spice Bag
The Lobster Spice Bag
Every city has its late-night food ritual. In Ireland, it’s the Spice Bag.
Born in Irish Chinese takeaways and fuelled by decades of post-pub cravings, the Spice Bag is Ireland’s unofficial national treasure: a delicious mix of crispy fries, fried chicken, peppers, onions and Chinese-style spices, paired with curry sauce and devoured at 1am like it’s a sacred ritual. Ordered after a night out, shared between friends, eaten standing up or on the journey home. No ceremony, just something hot, salty and exactly right at the time.
This St Patrick’s Day, we’re giving it the Burger & Lobster treatment.
For four weeks from 17 March, the Lobster Spice Bag joins the menu across all our UK restaurants — built around the same comfort and chaos that made the original a classic, but with a little more lobster involved.
Half a fried lobster leads the way, joined by fried king prawns, chunky chips, peppers and onions, all finished with Chinese spices and served with curry sauce for dipping. It’s generous, a little messy, and best approached without overthinking it.
Available for dine-in, takeaway or delivery via Uber Eats, the Lobster Spice Bag will be around for four weeks only and will be £25.
Come hungry.
